- This is my second year teaching at Olmsted, Jensen and Valerius Elementary Schools. My husband and I moved to Iowa in April of 2009. I'm originally from Seattle, WA, received my BA from Grinnell College and earned my Masters from the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore. We had a great four years living in Baltimore and DC, and I loved teaching high school art in DC, but it's wonderful to be back in Iowa! I think we're here to stay! Although it's so hard to choose, I think I'm quite partial to teaching elementary art - I just love the enthusiasm and energy the young ones in Urbandale bring to the art room every day!
